Nihongo Ride — Privacy Policy

The short version

Nihongo Ride collects nothing. It has no account system, makes no network connections, and contains no analytics, tracking, or advertising. Everything you do stays on your Mac.

Data collection

Nihongo Ride does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on any server. The app is fully offline. We — the developer — never receive any information about you or how you use the app.

What is stored on your device

Your learning progress — which words you've practiced, your spaced-repetition review queue, and your settings — is stored locally on your Mac (in the app's sandbox container). This data never leaves your device. Deleting the app removes it.

No third parties

• Analytics & advertising: None. No third-party analytics or ad SDKs are included.
• External servers: None. The app does not connect to the internet.
• AI services: None at runtime. (Learning content was prepared during development; the app itself contacts no AI service.)
• Accounts & sign-in: None. No login, no email, no identifiers.

Children's privacy

Because the app collects no data at all, it is safe for users of any age. It contains no objectionable content.

Changes

If a future version ever adds a feature that changes how data is handled (for example, optional iCloud sync handled entirely by Apple), this page will be updated before that version ships.
