Find a moment by its sound
Soundpost can name what a clip sounded like — rain, birdsong, a passing train — so you can search your library by sound. The listening happens entirely on your iPhone, and it's one tap to turn off.
Yours, and only yours
No account. No feed. Your recordings are kept on your iPhone and in your own private iCloud — Soundpost never sends them to us. Nothing is sold, mined, or shown to anyone else.
What we promise — and what we won't pretend
Honesty over theater. Here is exactly how Soundpost behaves.
- The seal is a gentle, honor-system seal — not encryption. It hides a capsule until its date. It is not a cryptographic lock and is not meant to defeat a determined person.
- Recording can pick up other people's voices. Please be considerate of those around you when you capture a moment.
- Your capsules back up to your own private iCloud. Signed into iCloud with space available, they sync across your devices. If you're signed out, or iCloud is full or unavailable, new capsules stay only on that device — and Soundpost's Settings tells you which.
- Listening happens on your iPhone. Recognising what a clip sounded like never uploads your audio to be analysed; what it heard is kept with the capsule, in your own iCloud. If it names a sound wrongly, say so and it stops showing that label on that capsule. You can turn listening off in Settings at any time, which also erases what it heard.
