Terms of Service

Last updated May 30, 2026 · Effective May 30, 2026 · Operator: Jason Ye (叶宇和), Tokyo, Japan

In short: You get a license to run Tetsuzukit on your Macs. You're responsible for what you enter and what you do with the output. We don't represent any government or agency, and Tetsuzukit does not create legally-valid Japanese seals.

1. License

By installing Tetsuzukit you agree to these Terms. A Mac App Store purchase covers personal, non-commercial use across the Macs you own, and Family Sharing (up to six family members). The license does not cover resale, sublicensing, running it as a paid paperwork service for third parties, or reverse engineering to defeat purchase checks. It is non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable for material breach.

2. What Tetsuzukit is — and is not

Tetsuzukit is a personal productivity tool that stores identity information you choose to enter and renders it in the formats Japanese forms expect, plus a manual PDF overlay feature. It is not:

3. Your responsibilities

4. Free and Pro

Tetsuzukit is free to download with one fully-functional profile. An optional Pro upgrade (monthly subscription, annual subscription, or one-time lifetime purchase) unlocks unlimited profiles, flattened-PDF export, and future Pro features. Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled; manage or cancel any time in the App Store (Settings → your name → Subscriptions). Refunds are handled by Apple via reportaproblem.apple.com. Cancelling never deletes your data — your profiles remain on your Mac.

5. Hanko / 印章 disclaimer (future feature)

If a hanko-style image feature ships in a later version, every export will display a non-dismissable notice that the image is an informal personal stamp (認印風スタンプ画像), is not a 実印 or 銀行印, does not certify identity, and must not be used where a registered seal is required. Acceptance depends on the receiving party.

6. Warranty & liability

Tetsuzukit is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that it is error-free or will work with any specific Japanese form. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid for Tetsuzukit in the preceding 12 months, and we are not liable for lost data (back up via the export feature), document rejection, or lost revenue. This does not limit liability that cannot be limited by law.

7. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan, with disputes heard in the courts of Tokyo. If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction with mandatory consumer-protection laws (EU, UK, California, Australia, etc.), those mandatory protections still apply.

8. Changes & contact

We update these Terms when the app or business changes materially; the current version is always at https://jasonyeyuhe.github.io/tetsuzukit/terms/. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance. Questions: yyyyy.yeyuhe@gmail.com. See also our Privacy Policy.
